- 1 cup tomato sauce
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 medium onion finely chopped

Prepare the Beans: Rinse and sort the navy beans. Soak them overnight or use the quick-soak method (boil for 2 minutes, then let sit for 1 hour).
